Admission Notice


Dear patient,

In order to ensure that you receive meticulous and proper treatment and care during your stay in hospital, to enhance the understanding of both nurses and patients, to ensure medical safety, and to maintain the order of diagnosis and treatment procedures, we will inform you of the matters that you need to know when you are admitted. With your understanding and cooperation, we will work together to create a warm environment for your speedy recovery! The rights and obligations you will enjoy during your stay are as follows:

1. We respect your country, race, ethnicity, religious belief, customs, and cultural etiquette, and you have the right to informed consent for illness and treatment.

2. You will be brought into the ward by specialized medical staff, and be informed your doctor in charge and the responsible nurse, who will introduce you to the ward environment and ward facilities, and give you a nursing service manual.

3. When medical staff enter the ward, please wear masks depending on the condition. But please make sure to wear a mask to ensure that your mouth and nose are covered when you go out for examination or leave the ward.

4. Please abide by the rules and regulations of the hospital and relevant medical regulations, and follow the guidance and of the nursing staff. You can bring the necessary daily necessities stipulated by the hospital, and do not bring other items into the ward. Please arrange your personal belongings, luggage, and other large items, and do not block the exhaust vent or turn off the exhaust fan, to allow the normal operation of the exhaust system and the air circulation in your room. Please keep your valuables, cash, certificates properly to avoid loss and damage.

5. Make sure to use your own name when you are admitted, and truthfully provide the basic information of previous hospitalization, treatment process and drug allergies. Otherwise, it may cause damage to your health during following treatments, and all adverse consequences arising therefrom shall be borne by you.

6. When you need special examination or treatments, under the doctor's full notification, the nursing staff will accompany and explain procedures to you step by step.

7. Nursing staff will report your needs, if necessary, you may also press the pager for help any time.

8. For doctors to evaluate the treatment effects and adverse reactions, please follow doctor's directions to collect required specimens, such as, blood, urine, stool, sputum, according to the directions. The nursing staff will explain and guide you when needed.

9. During the hospitalization period, you are not allowed to leave the ward or open the transfer window without permission. Please stay within the allowed area.

10. Please keep the ward tidy, clean and quiet, keep the room ventilated, and cooperate with medical staff and cleaning staff to disinfect the surfaces, floors, and toilets in the ward. All garbage generated indoors will be treated as medical waste and is uniformly discarded in yellow medical waste bags. It is strictly forbidden to discard at will.

11. Please do not smoke, drink alcohol, make loud noises or do other things that are not related to medical treatments to violate medical regulations in the ward.

12. If you are an elderly, frail, or a patient with high risk for falling or falling out of bed, please do not take a bath alone to ensure your safety. Ask the nursing staff for help.

13. For safety, please do not use electrical appliances, such as electric stoves, rice cookers, electric cups, microwave ovens, and other electrical appliances. Please take care of public property. If you damage them, a charge will be required from you.

14. The UV light switch in the ward shall not be turned on to avoid unnecessary harm to you.

15. Please arrange your daily life; avoid fatigue; quit smoking and drinking; wash hands frequently.

16. According to the pandemic condition and the management needs, you may be asked to adjust the ward and bed if necessary. Please understand and be collaborative.



Inpatient safety management


1. Prevent falls/falls from bed

During hospitalization, a nurse will assess you for a fall risk. Risk factors for falls include advanced age, poor general health, visual impairment, the type, and number of medications you take (which can make you feel dizzy), and unfamiliar environments. During your stay, nurses will make regular visits to ensure you have the necessary items and provide you educational materials on avoiding falls/falls to minimize the risk of falls.

2. Hand hygiene

When people are unwell, their immune systems weaken and their risk of infection increases. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of infection is to always keep your hands clean. Please keep your hands clean and hygienic and wash your hands frequently to avoid bacterial infection. Do not touch bandages, wounds, or medical pipes if you have them on your body. Please refer to the seven-step hand-washing method in the manual.

3. Maintain nutrition

A healthy diet is an important part of treatments. Most diseases lead to increased nutritional requirements. So, ensure the quantity and quality of food to meet your nutritional needs. If you have specific nutritional needs, tell a nurse. She will provide your needs to a nutritionist who will advise you on your dietary needs.

4. Deal with pain

Everyone experiences pain differently, and if you have pain in a body part, tell a nurse to socre your pain to determine how best to manage it. Good pain control aids your recovery, allowing you to get better and go home sooner.

5. Proper exercise

Safe exercise is very important if your condition allows. Exercise can reduce the risk of developing chest infections, blood clots, and pressure injuries. Nursing staff will give you advice on exercise and activities based on your medical condition. Types of exercises that are recommended for you include breathing exercises, Baduanjin, finger exercises, changing positions, or gentle exercises on a bed or chair.

6. Timely communication

Health care workers have developed many strategies to keep you safe during your hospital stay. Please actively participate in the treatment and communicate with us in a timely manner.



Discharge instructions for COVID-19 patients


Referring to the latest version of "Diagnosis and Treatment Guideline for SARS-Cov-2 Patients", when you have met the criteria for discharge from the hospital, please clean yourself, change clean clothes, and follow the instructions of medical staff to wear a mask to cover your mouth and nose. Bring all your personal belongings with you, and all items should be sterilized before taking them out. After leaving the ward, do not touch the surface of the surrounding environment, and the accompanying medical staff will perform related operations such as opening and closing the access door and elevator. Please understand and know how to use the discharge medicine.

Discharge guidance:

1. Take a rest and avoid fatigue. Do not stay up late. You can do light exercises such as walking, Taijiquan, and Baduanjin.

2. Keep warm, avoid getting cold, and minimize going out and gathering. Please wear a mask when go out.

3, Choose healthy diet, take a high-quality protein-rich diet, to maintain smooth stool.

4. Relax by listening to music, reading books, and keep good sleep habits.

5. Keep personal hygiene, cover your mouth/nose when you cough, wash hands frequently, and ventilate the room often.


6. During the quarantine period, health monitoring will be implemented according to the health monitoring requirements of the community or the quarantine site.

Q: What if you require a statement of diagnosis for work or expense reimbursement?

A: Before leaving the hospital, you can contact the ward physician to obtain it. After you are discharged from the hospital, you can call 022-58830061 (medical department) or 18902179327 (medical duty) to make an appointment. We can send the photo or scanned copy of the diagnosis statement to you through WeChat or e-mail, or send the original hard copy by express (postage on delivery) to the address you provide.
